Kechries

Kechries is a community hub, which connects the eastern with the western coast Evoikos. This enables guests to combine the ideals of the village green with the choice between the beaches of the Aegean and Evian. To the west of the village, at Kastri, identified settlement of Proto, geometric and classical period. Fortification of the same periods has been identified and in place wreath on the NW edge of the adjacent Mesopetriou conditions near side villages Daphne and Mourtias. Traditions and legends have linked the history of Vrisoula, located in the region, the medieval village just over and from there the knight Erotokritos. In the central square is the church of the Assumption, which is the parish church. In the same square, tavernas, cafeterias and recreation areas contribute to the vitality of the village and to the delight of visitors. Source: Municipality Limni
